I am pretty blessed.
This is super duper late, but I had to share this amazingness. Finally.
So this past July 0f 2012, I was itching to do something special to celebrate the people and the blessings I have received throughout my journey as an event designer, stylist and coordinator and to also celebrate the launch of my sister company, Heirloom + Love Vintage Rentals.
So I dreamed of the perfect little soiree with sequins, vintage and fringe and voila—my little party dream came true! I was super giddy to play with all my vintage pieces with textures, glamour and pretty!
Designing this event was nothing but magical. It was a vintage-d wedding showcase and my birthday soiree rolled into one!
I had the honor to work with amazing artists and creatives to make this day so special. Laura Izumikawa Photography captured gorgeous details and memories of the night and I couldn’t thank her enough for taking extra photos of all my paper goods!
I had was uber excited to work with the talented Monica Garrett of Paper Cut Industries to custom design my special invites, paper goods and tags for event. I had pretty vintage postcards created to describe each perfectly fun vintage piece and cute little paper signage for the drink, dessert and food bars. Thank you Monica for creating such amazing pieces for the event!I also had the honor of having my amazingly talented friend, Sandra Pimentel of Downtown Darling and her darlings strut their stuff on the runway with her vintage pieces from her Downtown Darling Boutique! My also amazingly talented friends, Leah and Christy Labrador of RLRB created lovely wedding accessories (pretty handcrafted rose headpieces, belts and necklaces!) for the fun little bride to be!
I was super ecstatic when Shelley Ander’s of Primal Flower created the PERFECT floral pieces for the event! She made the most darling arrangements with the perfect pops of color to show off all the cool decor and vintage pieces! Thank you Shelley for making such magically colorful floral designs for the pretty little setup!
My sweet cake designer kappa sister, Abigail did a lovely job creating cake pops and cake for my soiree! Thank you Abs for making such delicious treats for my party :)
I was also soooo thankful for my sweet friend, Erica Valdez of Balloon Creations –she woke up super early just to blow up pretty balloons and do pretty taffeta looks for the party! Erica, you rock lady!!
My buddy from back in the day, Mr. Kristian Ocampo aka Krissfader of Mass Movement played the best jams for my party and I can’t thank him enough for playing some amazing songs to make the night memorable!
There was super cool showcase of wedding artists as well!! A showcase of work by Photography by Bonne Chance Photography, John Cudal Photography and cute invitations and burlap banners from Completely Gail!
Guests got to taste yummies and appetizers from The Greenhouse and Asha and the lovely drink station to compliment it :)
The most inspiring part of planning and creating this birthday/wedding event –in addition to working and creating with all the amazing artists and vendors involved– was to see all my loved ones, family, friends and the artists who have encouraged me, supported me and inspired me to go towards my dreams. I honestly could have not done any of this without all of you. I am truly blessed to have God bring the most amazing people into my journey— people who not only cheer you on, but love on you, so wonderfully. I love you all.
Sweet Caroline <3
